We have relaunched our monthly Messy Church!

Messy Church sessions take place once a month on a Saturday at 4.30pm – 6.00pm. So that we can be Covid Responsible, you’ll notice some changes –  families will have their own table for the activities, with your own set of resources and equipment; tables will be arranged at an appropriate distance; hand sanitiser will be available and we suggest you may wish to wear a mask while moving round. Please email [email protected] or [email protected] if you wish to join us for Messy Church.

Although we are unable to meet face to face as a Messy Church during Covid 19, our activities are continuing on Zoom. On a Sunday morning at 10.00am, we meet for 15 minutes of Singing, Dancing and Story. Messy Craft sessions take place on a Thursday. Please email  [email protected] if you wish to join us for some weekly Messy Praise and Crafts.

Messy Church

Saturdays 4.30pm – 6.00pm monthly

Emmanuel Messy Church is for people of all ages and abilities. It is an inclusive and safe space to find out about and worship God.

Messy Church is an opportunity to learn and explore the Bible through crafts, games, songs and chat, and in sharing a meal together (provided by our team).

All are welcome but any children must be accompanied by an adult.

Our Messy Church dates for this term are 13th November and 11th December.

Our Messy Church relaunched on Saturday 11th September!

We were joined by old friends and new!

There were four activities to complete on the theme of ‘God Knows Me!’

The Bible teaches us that God knows every one of us before we were even born! How amazing is that! God knows us by name, he knows everything about us, has a plan for us and loves us no matter what….

  • A photograph frame
“Nothing in all creation can separate us from                        God’s love for us…”                (Romans 8:39)
  • An ‘I am special’ tree
“You have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and you know all about me. You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You notice everything I do and everywhere I go. Before I even speak a word, you know what I will say.”            (Psalm 139:1-4)
  • A spoon puppet
“ I say this because I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you….I will give you hope and a good future.”                   (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • A prayer cube to help us when we pray
“I pray to you, God, because you will help me.
Listen and answer my prayer!”                      (Psalm 17:6)

Following the activities there was a Celebration service and then we all shared in a meal together.

A really big thank you to all the families who came along and also to the leaders and volunteer helpers. We all had a fabulous time!
